Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care

This grant request funds salary, benefits, and mileage for adding a new pediatric music therapist position. This project would support pediatric patients who reside in eight of the Institute’s target counties, equal to 90 percent of Lightways’ pediatric patients or 126 children, though Lightways projects this number to increase to 200+ over 2024. The traveling music-therapist would focus on meeting demand in Cook, McHenry, and Lake counties, where Lightways has experienced significant growth in its pediatric census.
