Increasing End-of-Life Care Awareness

Elea Institute is dedicated to empowering those facing serious illness or conditions and providing greater access to hospice and palliative care by bringing patients to the forefront of policy and regulatory conversations. This includes partnering with organizations who share our mission of educating, empowering, and advocating to expand access to hospice and palliative care.

As America's population gets older, we are on the front lines of advocating for Medicare payment model reform so we can reduce health care costs, enhance quality of care, and increase access to care for more patients. Patients will benefit from fewer unnecessary hospitalizations and medical interventions, more efficient symptom management, and shorter inpatient hospital stays.

For providers and our health care system, a reformed payment model will enable us to invest more in workforce development, training, and specialized care programs, without the financial constraints of traditional payment systems. Elea Institute is working to improve hospice and palliative care by engaging in the following areas:
